AI might be able to design a candle digitally, but it cannot physically pour the wax, prepare the vessel or carry out the hands-on work that goes into creating a finished product. There is something special about knowing that your candle has been made by real people, with care taken at every stage.

Can AI smell the difference?

Imagine asking AI to choose between the fresh, coastal notes of Rock Salt & Driftwood and a rich, warming fragrance filled with amber and woods. It might be able to describe the scents beautifully, but it cannot actually smell them. It cannot experience that first impression when you lift the lid, or know which fragrance makes you stop and take another breath.

Choosing a fragrance is a personal, sensory experience, and that is something technology cannot truly replace.

Where AI does have a place

We are not against AI. In fact, at Tenby Candle Co., we use it to help create professional-looking product imagery and visual ideas that would otherwise require specialist equipment, skills or more time than we have available in-house.

For a small, independent business, that is a real advantage. It allows us to explore creative ideas, showcase our products beautifully and spend more time doing what we do best: making candles.
